Objective of Knowledge Management & Coordination Platform
The SOCO project seeks to serve as a catalyst to promote a coordinated approach towards the development of the Northern part of Ghana. The project recognizes information sharing as playing a critical role in reducing duplication of efforts and the working in silos of development partners, NGOs and other organisations working in the North. The Digital Knowledge Management and Coordination Platform serves as an information sharing Platform for the project and other stakeholders.
The Investment Register of the Platform highlights investments/projects which have been/are being implemented in SOCO clusters/communities. The investment register also indicates all investments within the project areas and their status (abandoned, completed, ongoing etc).
The Northern Development Database provides demographic information of the population within the project catchment areas, Fragility Conflict and Violence (FCV) related issues such as incidence of conflict, social cohesion, trust, local governance and citizen engagement, climate change, Local Economic development (LED), digital Innovations etc.
The Research Catalogue captures researches conducted by the project, such as the scoping and baseline studies, and other thematic studies of the project. It also catalogues existing research related to the themes of the project from other sources.
